Oakland Conference

The California Community Builders’ has begun implementing The Two Hundred Project, with a series of statewide homeownership mini-conferences titled Rebuilding Wealth through Homeownership to outreach to community leaders and advocates. The mini-conferences feature housing experts that discuss the impact the Great Recession and associated housing crisis had on the wealth of communities of color as well as the current obstacles to homeownership and home building today. The intent is to build a policy advocacy network that will support practical solutions to the current housing crisis as well as build public/private partnerships with community leaders, financial institutions, trade unions, developers and the real estate industry.
